ABOUT

Hi,

I’m a film-maker.

I call myself this now because of what happened one summer night back in 2024.

I was awarded Best Music Video at Worcester Film Festival.

I was, however, surprised by my reaction to winning.

I expected celebration.

What I didn’t expect was how overwhelmed I felt by it.

Instead of fully stepping into the moment, I felt anxious, overexposed, and left early.

That moment stayed with me as a reminder of how deeply I feel things,

and how important it is to create spaces where people can feel comfortable being seen.

I’ve been a singer, songwriter, and all-around creative for over two decades.

I’ve released five albums since my debut, 'and the Girl with the Strawberry...' back in 2003.

I signed a three-album record deal with Hamburgh based Membran, a publishing deal with Mettisse Music Publishing, Paris, spent many years touring and currnelty signed a brand new deal with ethical record label from Cambridge 'Little Wing Records'. With a new album planned for release around Feb 2027.

At one point, I was Chuck Berry’s support act, a chapter that still feels slightly surreal.

One night, while on stage together, he grabbed my arm as he was losing his balance doing his famous duck walk.

So I can say, I once saved the father of Rock ’n’ Roll from falling on his arse. :-)

I was recently diagnosed with combined ADHD.

For me, that means I feel things a lot, and occasionally slip into an intense, focused flow where everything connects.

It’s taught me how to work with energy, emotion, and attention, not just in myself, but in the people I film.

Years of viewing the world through a neurodiverse lens,

combined with my experience as a performer have helped shape how I now tell stories.

I love people.

I love the energy of people, especially when it fills a room, like a kind of human WiFi.

I love it when that energy builds and comes together as a shared experience.

I once filmed a short scene that changed me.

I reversed the footage so a bird flew backwards.

As it landed on the roof of a building just as the last of the sunlight slipped away, laying shadows across tiles.

The bird landing, I instinctively chose to align with a single note on a piano and on watching it back.

I felt something and was moved to tears.

I learned in that moment that there's something in the alignment of elements that I find to be incredibly beautiful.

That’s what I bring into every project:

Creating a space where people feel at ease, understood, and able to show up as themselves.

Because that authentic place is where our power is.

If this speaks to you, let’s make something together.

I’d love to work with you.

Frase x
